Guri Rime (@travelguri) is the Managing Director and Partner at Motel Agency Denmark.

With a strong international background from companies such as Diageo and JCP Travel, Guri has developed a vast international network and a deep understanding of both global and local market trends.

Originally from Norway, Guri has lived in both London and Barcelona, and she is now based in her favorite city, Copenhagen. 

Guri has extensive experience in brand management, travel, PR, and events, and is known for her creative approach and ability to deliver tailored experiences that always meet her clients' needs. Guri is an inspiring and positive person, bringing energy and warmth to every relationship.

Christian Laustrup Møller

Christian Laustrup Møller (@rambleon) is the Creative Director and Partner at Motel Agency Denmark.

He has an exciting background in food and travel journalism, taking him on motorcycle journeys through dusty mountain roads in remote corners of the world and securing him tables at hidden gastronomic gems across Europe.

Over the past decade, Christian has independently organized and executed a variety of events and press engagements. Renowned for his proactive mindset and practical approach, he embraces new challenges with enthusiasm and an unwavering positive attitude, consistently delivering memorable experiences.

Ketil Iwe Thorsteinsen

Ketil is co-founder and general manager. With a German structure and efficiency, he ensures that everyone stays on their toes at all times. Family man and keen golfer.

He started his event career as a DJ and organized legendary parties in clubs on the east coast of Australia in the late 90s. He then moved the business to Barcelona, where he was also responsible booking and tour manager for artists such as Bob Sinclar and Dimitri From Paris.

He moved back to Norway and played a key role in the development of the communications house JCP, where he, among other things, started up JCP Travel in 2010.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Thøger Rustad

Thøger is co-founder and creative director. He keeps us up-to-date on the creative side with his ideas, and makes sure that what we deliver looks good.

He has been in the event industry since 2008, but his event career started on a small scale before this, i.a. as a paintball hare and activity leader in Modul Event before where he gained more responsibility over time, i.a. as responsible for the parliamentary tour of FrP (professionally, not politically).

The trip continued to the communications house JCP, where he worked as coordinator, project manager and Managing Director in JCP Travel from 2010 to 2018.

EVENT DIRECTOR

Andreas Holm Tveter

Andreas is the Event Director and has been with us since 2020. He is a big (handy) man, just over two metres, who carpents, lifts, transports and does just about everything you might expect from a handyman. He is also knowledgeable about technical solutions, be it AV, sound and lighting, which is why Andreas is often a producer on our larger events.

Andreas previously worked as project manager at MKTG and as an Event Manager at JCP, and has been in the event industry since 2012.

Iselin Fjeld

Iselin is project manager and manages her projects with firm control. She has a vast experience in working with influencers and that is why she is our chosen SoMe queen. A badass at making us look good on social media, and someone who never gets stressed.

Previously, Iselin has been in PR & Communications at Foodora, as well as working for Strawberry, where she was responsible for communications, PR and events for the Comfort Hotel Chain, in Norway.

Why are you called Motel anyway?

We wish we had a grand story behind our name, but the truth is, we wanted a name that was travel-related, since corporate travel is where we want the bell to ring. "Motel" was cool and had the right ring to it. We were inspired by the iconic motels along Route 66. A good example is when we rented an entire motel for a client in Surfers Paradise, Australia. That's exactly the kind of different and cool experience we want to create.

We also thought that there was something fun in the fact that little Motel can kick it with the big players in the  league- that is, the hotels. We like to challenge the big guys and do things our own way.

The name "Motel" represents our passion for travel, adventure and unique experiences. It is inspired by old American movies and the sense of  nostalgia, freedom and adventure from being on the road.
