Manchester

We Norwegians love football. And no league gets us more excited than the English Premier League. Clubs such as Liverpool FC and Manchester United each have around 40,000 members in this country, which says something about the interest in what happens every weekend on the other side of the North Sea.

More and more company managers see that being able to fulfill the dream of many employees by adding a trip to one of England's football cities can be just what is needed to lift the company trip to a new level. Here we present an example of what a company trip to Manchester might look like.

Friday

We recommend setting up a long weekend with the whole of Saturday and Sunday in England, as matches can often be moved from one day to the next at short notice, due to the TV channels' rights.

Departure from Oslo, arrival in Manchester and transfer to the hotel. We recommend staying in the trendy Northern Quarter, which is buzzing with shopping, restaurants and bars.

On the first evening, we reserve a table for you at Tattu, a super trendy place with wonderful Asian fusion dining. None other than David Beckham and Bastian Schweinsteiger attended the opening night and both City and United players can be found here regularly.

After dinner we go back to the Northern Quarter and do a pub crawl, where we stop at places such as Kosmonaut, Whiskey Jar, Noho Bar or Tariff & Dale.

Saturday

The academic program at the hotel in the morning and afternoon is followed by lunch at cozy The Oast House.

After lunch we stroll 10 minutes from the restaurant and take a canal boat to Old Trafford, a super nice way to get to the game, while we chat and have a glass of Guinness. The boat stops right by the stadium. If we are a larger group, it is easiest to get joint tickets by ordering VIP tickets directly from the club. Then we can combine the football match with museum visits and food before or after the match, as well as the opportunity to greet a former United legend. After the match, we take the canal boat back, so we avoid the long queues from the stadium.

On Saturday evening, we are happy to reserve party dining for the group at the Neighborhood Restaurant. Here we have previously experienced meeting players such as Rooney, Fellaini, Shaw and Blind. Good atmosphere, good food and not least wonderful to let go and move on after dinner and rather let the party come to us!

Sunday

It's not enough to watch just one football match when you're first in England! On Sunday we therefore take the train out of town to one of the many nearby towns and watch a match in the PL or one of the lower divisions. Cities such as Burnley, Stoke, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield and Leeds are all a short train ride away from Manchester.

The Sunday evening is then rounded off with a quality dinner of charcoal-grilled meat at Hawksmoor.

Monday

On Monday we set off for a bit of shopping and a lunch at Home Sweet Home, before the bus takes us to the airport and the return flight to Norway.

Interest in football in Norway only grows and grows and many dream of experiencing the best leagues in Europe up close. Here we have given a fully scored program for such a trip to Manchester. How about combining the company trip with big football matches to be able to experience some of the world's biggest stars? We can help with tickets to all the major leagues in Europe, such as Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga.

Play the ball for us - we guarantee you'll take home the trophy!
